While the name of Victory Life Church is recently new, the church roots run deep within our community. A few Pentecostal families organized the original church with 27 members and two deacons on Nov. 8, 1926, lead by the Rev. J.E. Austell. Official affiliation with the General Council of the Assemblies of God came in July 1927. Four years later the church was incorporated as the Pentecostal Assembly of God but then became the First Assembly of God in 1950.
In 1932, a building was built on the corner of Fourth and Grand Avenues in Grand Junction. Throughout the following decades, additions were made, buildings were replaced and a new church constructed. The church outgrew that location and in 2009 construction began on our current facility. The move was completed in 2010 and the name changed to Victory Life Church.
Since the founding of the church, 14 senior pastors have lead the congregation.
The church has a deep history of being heavily involved in missions work both within our community and internationally. We believe it is our duty to reach and minister to families within the Grand Valley, across our state and nation, and throughout the world.
